Welcome to www.onesolarsystem.com, a service provided by One Solar System Ltd. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions.
1. Quotations and Orders
1.1 All quotations provided by One Solar System are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. 1.2 To confirm your order, you must sign and return a copy of the contract provided along with the quotation. 1.3 A binding contract will not be in place until we confirm your order in writing.
2. Scope of Work
2.1 The quotation will detail all goods and services to be provided, including VAT, as well as any performance expectations as required by relevant standards. 2.2 You will be given a timetable for the delivery of goods and installation services, and will be consulted on the placement of key components before work begins. 2.3 It is your responsibility to ensure all necessary approvals and permissions are obtained prior to the commencement of work, though we will provide guidance. 2.4 Additional costs such as planning fees or the need for a Structural Engineer will be borne by you, though we will offer assistance as needed.
3. Right to Cancel
3.1 You have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days of receiving the goods without providing any reason. 3.2 To cancel, you must inform us via a clear statement (email, letter, etc.). You may use the Cancellation Form provided but it is not mandatory. 3.3 If you cancel, we will reimburse all payments, including standard delivery charges. However, deductions may apply for any unnecessary handling of goods.
4. Work Started During Cancellation Period
4.1 If you have agreed in writing that work will begin before the cancellation period expires, you may still cancel but you may be charged for work carried out up to that point.
5. Changes to Work
5.1 Any changes to agreed-upon work should be communicated immediately. If changes occur within the cooling-off period, a new quotation will be issued and you will have an additional 14-day cancellation period. 5.2 For changes made outside the cooling-off period, additional costs may be incurred.
6. Payment and Deposits
6.1 Deposits will not exceed 25% of the total quoted price, and any advance payments will not exceed 60%. 6.2 Payments must be made according to the schedule provided in the quotation. If a payment is late, we reserve the right to charge interest at 3% above the Bank of England base rate and may cease work until payment is received.
7. Late Payment and Interest
7.1 Payments are due according to the schedule in your quotation. If payments are not received on time, we may charge interest at 3% above the Bank of England base rate. 7.2 We reserve the right to cease work if payment is not made as agreed.
8. Delivery and Title of Goods
8.1 Legal ownership of goods will transfer to you once payment has been made. Goods delivered to your premises remain our property until full payment is made. 8.2 In the event of contract cancellation, you must return any undelivered goods in their original packaging. We reserve the right to recover the goods or their value through legal proceedings if necessary.
9. Timetable for Works
9.1 We will provide a detailed timetable for the installation of your solar system. However, unforeseen circumstances such as weather or unavailability of goods may delay this timetable. 9.2 Should delays be caused by us or our suppliers, you may cancel the contract without penalty.
10. Installation
10.1 Installation will be completed in accordance with relevant standards and codes of practice. 10.2 You must provide access to necessary services, including electricity and water, and ensure safe access to the installation area. 10.3 You will receive warranties for both the goods installed and the installation work itself.
11. Warranty
11.1 All products and installations come with a warranty as specified in your contract. Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications. 11.2 Warranties may be void if any changes or repairs are made by someone other than One Solar System or its authorized agents.
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 In the event of any disputes that cannot be resolved through normal channels, either party may refer the matter to an independent dispute resolution service. 12.2 Mediation or arbitration may be sought as outlined by relevant trade or legal bodies, and both parties must agree to abide by the outcome.
13. Liability
13.1 We will not be liable for delays or issues caused by events outside of our control, including but not limited to strikes, natural disasters, or pandemics. 13.2 In the case of damages caused by our installation team, we will rectify them free of charge. However, we are not responsible for pre-existing conditions or damage caused by third-party contractors.
14. Governing Law
14.1 This contract is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Both parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts, or the courts of Scotland if applicable.
